Distants

Distants is a 4-piece crushing downtempo deathcore band featuring members from Rotterdam, The Netherlands, and Bratislava, Slovakia. Since their formation in 2014, they've built a reputation for blending hyper-dissonant downtempo deathcore with slamming brutal death metal and beatdown to create a uniquely intense and heavy sound. Distants are known not only for their energy and brutality but also for their immersive, conceptual musical experiences, often accompanied by thematic lyrics and a novel of written lore that deepens their storytelling.

They made their debut in 2015 with the EP *Slither*, followed by their critically acclaimed release *Tsukuyomi* in 2017. Their 2019 full-length album *Tyrannotophia*, released on Unique Leader Records, cemented their standing in the modern deathcore scene. Continually evolving, Distants blend sheer heaviness with conceptual depth, making them a formidable presence in extreme metal today.
