Liv Kristine

Liv Kristine Espenæs, known professionally as Liv Kristine, is a Norwegian singer and songwriter, born on February 14, 1976, in Stavanger, Norway. She first rose to prominence as the lead vocalist for the gothic metal band Theatre of Tragedy, with whom she recorded several albums in the mid-90s to early 2000s, contributing to the genre's signature sound with her ethereal voice and poignant lyrics. Her work with Theatre of Tragedy helped the band gain international recognition and a dedicated fan base.

Following her departure from Theatre of Tragedy in 2003, Liv Kristine embarked on a successful solo career. Her music, while still retaining elements of her gothic and metal roots, also explores a broader range of genres, incorporating influences from folk to pop. Her solo albums include "Enter My Religion" and "Vervain," showcasing her versatility and evolving artistry. Liv Kristine is also known for her time as the frontwoman of the symphonic metal band Leaves' Eyes, which she co-founded with her then-husband Alexander Krull. Through various collaborations and her solo work, Liv Kristine continues to enchant audiences with her distinctive voice and emotive performances, as reflected in more recent releases such as "Love Me High" and "Have Courage Dear Heart."
