Thee Shams

Thee Shams were a gritty, blues-infused garage rock band that emerged from the depths of Cincinnati, Ohio in the late 1990s, with a sound deeply rooted in the raw energy of 1960s rock and roll. The ensemble was known for their raucous live performances and a no-frills approach to music-making that honored the legacy of blues, garage rock, and R&B pioneers. The group's lineup centered around the powerful voice and magnetic presence of frontman Zachary Gabbard, whose soulful delivery and earthy songwriting stood at the heart of their sound.

Throughout their career, Thee Shams released a series of albums and EPs that carved out a spot for them within the garage rock revival scene of the early 2000s. Their most recent offerings include the riff-heavy "Sign the Line," the rollicking "Please Yourself," and the energetic "Take Off," each reinforcing the band's commitment to unpretentious, electrifying rock music. Despite garnering a dedicated following, Thee Shams largely remained an underground favorite, celebrated by those in the know for their rough-hewn charms and authentic rock spirit, before they eventually morphed into the band Buffalo Killers following the departure of member Max Bender.
