Candy Girls was a British dance/house project from the mid-1990s, created by producer Paul Kevin Masterson and DJ Rachel Auburn. The project is best known for club hits like "Fee Fi Fo Fum" and "Wham Bam," both featuring vocals by American singer Candice Jordan, who also recorded as Candy J. Their track "I Want Candy," featuring Valerie Malcolm, reached No.1 on club charts in their home country, marking one of their biggest successes. Candy Girls had a brief but memorable presence in the 90s dance scene, characterized by catchy, upbeat house tunes that fit well with the era's club culture.
Rachel Auburn, one of the producers, was notable for being the first female DJ to play in China and Johannesburg, adding an interesting layer to the project’s background. Paul Masterson, the other driving force, was involved in several other dance projects. Despite their short-lived career, Candy Girls left a mark with their infectious dance tracks that still resonate with fans of 90s house music today.
