KIS Band

KIS Band is a rock music project based in Bali, Indonesia, formed as a side project by Krisna Purpa, who is also the frontman and vocalist of the band Di Ubud. The project started around 2010 with the aim of channeling Krisna's musical ideals and creative energy. Their debut album, titled "#1," was released in August 2010 featuring songs mostly in Balinese along with some tracks in Indonesian, focusing on themes of love and social environment. The album was well received in Bali, gaining significant airplay and selling over 10,000 copies. In 2011, they followed up with their second album, "Jahat," which continued to explore themes of life's struggles and love with more polished arrangements and a mix of Balinese and Indonesian lyrics. KIS Band has been active since then, maintaining a presence in the Balinese music scene with a blend of rock styles and cultural influences.
