Tarantula

Tarantula is a Portuguese heavy metal band formed in October 1981 by the Barros brothers. Initially known as Mac Zac, they changed their name to Tarantula in 1983. The band gained recognition with their first album, "Tarantula," released in 1987, which sold out quickly. They continued to build their reputation with albums like "Kingdom of Lusitania" (1990), "Tarantula III" (1993), and "Freedom's Call" (1995). Tarantula has performed with notable bands such as Deep Purple and Stratovarius, and they have been active in the international metal scene for decades.

Their recent releases include albums like "Thunder Tunes From Lusitania," "Spiral OF Fear," and "Dark Age," showcasing their enduring presence in the metal genre. Tarantula's music has been well-received globally, with tours and performances across Europe and beyond. The band has also been involved in music education through their "Rock'n'School," a music school dedicated to rock music.
