Aureole is a distinguished chamber music ensemble that has been captivating audiences for over 25 years with their imaginative and innovative programs. The trio, consisting of flutist Laura Gilbert, violist Mary Hammann, and harpist Stacey Shames, uniquely blends the sounds of flute, viola, and harp to create a rich and versatile sonic palette that ranges from the quiet stillness of impressionist music to the energetic spirit of folk dance. Their repertoire centers around Claude Debussy’s influential *Sonate* (1916), which inspired many contemporary compositions.
