Alessandro Di Liberto is a talented Italian pianist and composer with a deep passion for jazz. He began his musical journey at a young age, initially studying guitar before transitioning to piano under the guidance of Maestro S. Figliola. In 1985, he enrolled at the Conservatory in Cagliari to study classical composition. His interest in jazz led him to the Koninklijk Conservatorium in The Hague, where he honed his skills in jazz piano under Rob van Kreeveld. Di Liberto has been involved in several notable projects, including the Di Liberto-Gesing quartet, which performed at prestigious festivals like the North Sea Jazz Festival.
Di Liberto's discography includes albums such as *Tonalità Naturali*, *Clima di un'estate*, and more recently, *Flowery Piano* and *Punti di Vista*. He has also been a dedicated educator, serving as the main jazz piano teacher at the Conservatory P.L. Da Palestrina in Cagliari. His teaching experience extends to arranging techniques for small and large ensembles. Di Liberto's music often reflects his love for Sardinia and his ability to blend jazz with original compositions, showcasing his versatility as a musician and composer.
