Jeff Healey

Jeff Healey was a Canadian blues-rock and jazz guitarist, singer, and songwriter known for his fiery playing style and soulful voice. Blind since early childhood due to a rare form of eye cancer, Healey developed a unique way of playing the guitar flat on his lap. He burst onto the scene in the late '80s with his band, The Jeff Healey Band, and made an immediate impact with their debut album *See the Light*, which featured the hit “Angel Eyes.” His blend of blues, rock, and hard-edged guitar work quickly drew praise from fans and fellow musicians alike.

Healey wasn't just a blues rocker—he was a jazz lover at heart. Over the years, he released several jazz albums showcasing his deep appreciation for vintage swing and traditional jazz, including work with his band the Jazz Wizards. Despite facing ongoing health issues, he remained active in music until his passing in 2008. His posthumous releases, like *Heal My Soul* and *Dancing With The Monsters*, continue to shine a light on his immense talent and the emotional depth of his music.
