Deathstars

Deathstars is a gothic industrial metal band that emerged from Sweden in the early 2000s. Known for their dark aesthetic and themes that blend death and glamour, their music incorporates crushing guitar riffs, atmospheric synthesizers, and deep, menacing vocals. The band was formed by members of various underground bands in the Swedish scene, and they quickly gained attention for their charismatic stage presence and distinct visual style, often characterized by their stark black-and-silver militaristic and futuristic imagery.

Since their inception, Deathstars have carved a niche for themselves in the metal community with albums like "Synthetic Generation" (2002), their aggressive yet polished debut, and "Termination Bliss" (2006), which further honed their blend of industrial and death glam. The album "The Perfect Cult" (2014) demonstrated their commitment to evolving their sound, showcasing a more refined production and sophisticated songwriting. Despite going through several line-up changes and a hiatus, the band returned with new music such as "Everything Destroys You" and "All the Devil's Toys," solidifying their status as stalwarts of the industrial metal genre. Their greatest hits compilation "Decade of Debauchery" (2020) offers a retrospective of their tumultuous and creatively rich first ten years. Deathstars continue to enthrall fans with their uniquely theatrical approach to music and live performances.
