Jah Khalib, born Bakhtiyar Mammadov on September 29, 1993, in Almaty, Kazakhstan, is a prominent Kazakh-Azerbaijani rapper, singer, and record producer. He's made a significant impact in the Russian-speaking music world, blending hip-hop with unique beats and atmospheric sounds. Khalib's journey in music began early, studying saxophone at a music school and developing a passion for hip-hop by age 6.
Rising to fame in the mid-2010s, Jah Khalib has released several successful albums, including "Если че, я Баха" in 2016 and "E.G.O." in 2018. His hit single "Медина" earned him a Golden Gramophone Award in 2018. Known for his distinctive style that combines elements of Kazakh and Russian rap, Khalib has become one of the most popular artists in Kazakhstan and other Russian-speaking countries.
