The Shifts

The Shifts are an indie rock band from Eugene, Oregon, formed in 2011. At the core of their sound are bright guitar lines, energetic rhythms, and sardonic wordplay, all delivered through high-energy live performances. The band initially started as a project led by Macks Johanesen. Over time, they solidified into a four-piece lineup including Eli Tocchini on drums, Jeff Kretsinger on bass, and Maci DeBlanc on keyboards, backup guitar, and vocals. The Shifts have released a debut EP titled "this is fine" in 2014, which marked them as an emerging talent in their region. They won Oregon State University's 2015 Battle of the Bands and released their self-titled debut album in August 2016. Their music often combines vibrant guitar work with catchy melodies and witty lyrics.

Some of their notable works include albums like "The Shifts" and EPs such as "this is fine," showcasing their indie garage rock style. Despite their strong local presence, they currently have no upcoming shows listed. However, their music remains available for fans looking for a mix of energetic performances and engaging songwriting. The Shifts are often compared to other bands known for their lively indie rock sound and are influenced by similar artists in the genre.
