Mellow Swells

Mellow Swells is an indie folk band from Brooklyn, New York. The band was formed in 2014 by singer-songwriter and guitarist Alex Edkins and bassist and vocalist Max Kakacek. Their music is characterized by its dreamy, atmospheric sound, with Edkins's gentle vocals and Kakacek's intricate bass lines creating a lush and immersive soundscape. Mellow Swells have released two full-length albums, "Mellow Swells" (2016) and "Nature" (2019), as well as a number of EPs and singles. They have toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe, and have shared the stage with artists such as Bon Iver, The National, and Sufjan Stevens.
