HAIM is a dynamic American pop rock band originating from Los Angeles, California, and primarily consists of three sisters: Este Haim, Danielle Haim, and Alana Haim. Known for their captivating fusion of classic rock, pop, and R&B influences, the trio has gained a reputation for their engaging harmonies, candid lyricism, and charismatic stage presence since their emergence in the early 2010s. Before forming the band, the sisters played with their parents in a family cover band called Rockinhaim, but they officially stepped into the music scene as HAIM in 2007, eventually releasing their first EP, "Forever," in 2012.
Their debut album, "Days Are Gone," released in 2013, catapulted them into the spotlight with a blend of catchy tunes and heartfelt ballads that resonated with a global audience, paving the way for their subsequent works. HAIM's distinct sound continued to evolve with albums like "Something to Tell You" in 2017 and the critically acclaimed "Women In Music Pt. III" in 2020, which showcased their maturity as musicians and songwriters. Their music not only thrives on records but also in various multimedia projects, evident from tracks like "Cherry Flavored Stomach Ache" for the film "The Last Letter From Your Lover" and "Feel The Thunder" for the animated movie "The Croods: A New Age." The band's dedication to innovation in their soundscape is further highlighted by collaborations and remixes, such as the "3 AM (Toro y Moi Remix)." With an ever-growing fanbase and a penchant for crafting relatable narratives through their tunes, HAIM continues to solidify their place in the contemporary music world.
