Heaven & Hell was a heavy metal band formed by the lineup of Black Sabbath featuring vocalist Ronnie James Dio alongside guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler, and drummer Vinny Appice. The group took its name from Black Sabbath’s 1980 album *Heaven and Hell* (the first Sabbath record with Dio), and it served as a distinct banner for that era of the band.
Under the Heaven & Hell name, they released the studio album *The Devil You Know* (2009) and performed material associated with the Dio-fronted Black Sabbath period, including classics like “The Mob Rules.” They also documented their live power on releases such as *Live from Radio City Music Hall*, capturing the band in full stride onstage.
