In Utero Cannibalism

**In Utero Cannibalism** is a brutal death metal band from Athens, Greece, formed in early 2004 by Alex and Costas (later known as Alex Koutsoudakis on drums). They drew their wild name from a gruesome medical condition and quickly built a rep in the underground scene, sharing stages with heavy hitters like Nile, Napalm Death, and Malevolent Creation while dropping demos, an EP like *Reeking of the Putrid* (2006), and full-lengths starting with *Psychotic Killing Lust* in 2007.

The Greeks kept the gore-grind fury rolling with albums like *Frenzied* (2010), *Sick*, *Playing with Dummy* (2013), *Fuck Jesus and Praise Me!!*, and *Butcher While Others Obey* (2015), blending blistering blasts, groovy riffs, and influences from Cannibal Corpse, Suffocation, and Morbid Angel—though they've hit pauses and lineup tweaks along the way. Members have included Bill on vocals, Kostas or Miltiadis on guitar, Kyriakos on bass, and Alex crushing drums, and they're still active, with their latest digital drop *Decadence* hitting via Sleaszy Rider Records today.
