Adziambei Band

Adziambei Band is a legendary Tshivenda group from South Africa, formed by Elias "Maele" Sirwali in 1982 at Guyuni village. The band was later joined by his older brother, Tshivhangwaho Raedani, and cousins Johannes Kwinda and Sarah Masindi. They released their first album, *Midzimu ya Madimoni*, in 1983 and remained popular throughout the 1990s before disbanding. The group reunited in 2012 and has since continued to produce music, including their recent album *Tshitototo, Volume 17*. Adziambei Band is known for creating educational and informative music that highlights Vhavenda culture and addresses social issues like domestic violence and unemployment.

Their music often carries meaningful messages, as seen in songs like *Tshitototo*, which explores themes of personal growth and relationships. The band's contributions to Vhavenda music have been recognized, including winning Song of the Year at the Tshivenda Music Awards (TSHIMA) in 2012 for *Nwana o ngala ngala*. With a discography spanning over 17 albums, Adziambei Band continues to be a significant figure in South African music, particularly in the Tshivenda community.
