L.A. WITCH
L.A. WITCH is a garage-rock trio based in Los Angeles, known for their moody blend of reverb-heavy surf rock, psych, and gritty punk influences. Formed by guitarist and vocalist Sade Sanchez, drummer Ellie English, and bassist Irita Pai, the band built a reputation with their dark, melodic sound fueled by raw guitars and haunting vocals. They debuted with a self-titled album in 2017, drawing comparisons to acts like The Black Angels and The Velvet Underground.
Their music often evokes shadowy desert drives and noir-infused atmospheres, with lyrics exploring themes of rebellion, identity, and mysticism. L.A. WITCH followed up with their second full-length album, Play With Fire, in 2020, pushing their sound further with more urgency and energy. With recent releases like “DOGGOD” and “Gen-Z,” the band continues to evolve while maintaining their signature gritty charm.
