Maryzark

Maryzark is a Filipino band that has been active in the music scene for several years. Formed around the turn of the millennium by high school friends from St. Mary's Academy in Pasay, the band's name is a play on their alma mater's name and Noah's Ark. Initially intended as a one-off project, they decided to continue playing together and eventually became a staple in the live band circuit. Their music often explores themes of life and love, with a melancholic yet non-sappy approach. The band gained significant recognition with their debut album "Good Mournings" in 2006, which included popular tracks like "Kai" and "M3." They have continued to produce music over the years, including releases like "Return to Sender" and more recent singles.

Maryzark's lineup has included vocalist Ice Gecolea, keyboardist Axel Vito Cruz, guitarist Julius Dumlao, bassist Ryan Fortuna, and drummer Carlo Dumlao, who replaced the original drummer Paulo Mendoza. Despite facing challenges and periods of inactivity, the band has maintained a loyal following and remains active in the music scene, known for their emotive and relatable songs.
