Gala, born Gala Rizzatto on September 6, 1975 in Milan, Italy, is an Italian pop singer and songwriter who rose to fame in the late 1990s. Her debut album "Come into My Life" was released in 1997 and included hit singles like "Freed from Desire," "Let a Boy Cry," and "Come into My Life," which topped charts across Europe. Gala has sold over six million records worldwide and continues to release music independently through her own label, Matriarchy Records, which she founded in 2008.
