Nightfall

Nightfall is a melodic death/black metal band from Athens, Greece, known for being one of the pioneering metal bands in the Greek extreme metal scene. Formed in 1991 by vocalist and bassist Efthimis Karadimas, Nightfall has developed a distinctive sound that mixes death and black metal elements with gothic and symphonic touches. The band made a strong impression in the early '90s with albums like Macabre Sunsets and Athenian Echoes, helping to shape the sound of Hellenic metal alongside groups like Rotting Christ and Septicflesh.

Over the years, Nightfall has gone through several lineup changes but has maintained its core vision of blending aggression with atmosphere and melody. Their 2021 album At Night We Prey marked a powerful return after a long recording hiatus, exploring themes of mental illness and inner struggle with raw intensity and emotional depth. With a consistent blend of heavy riffs, haunting melodies, and lyrical introspection, Nightfall continues to be a respected force in the global metal community.
