Jay Park

Jay Park is an American singer, rapper, dancer, record producer, and entrepreneur of Korean descent, known for his work in the South Korean music industry. Born on April 25, 1987, in Edmonds, Washington, Jay Park initially found fame as the leader of the South Korean boy band 2PM under JYP Entertainment. He left the group in 2010 following controversy surrounding his comments about Korea. However, this did not hinder his rise to stardom as a solo artist, where he quickly established himself with his dynamic blend of R&B, hip-hop, and K-pop sounds.

Recognized for his artistic versatility and signature swagger, Jay Park has been a transformative figure in bridging East and West music scenes. After parting ways with 2PM and returning to the United States, he launched his own independent record label, AOMG, in 2013, and later H1GHR Music in 2017, signing and promoting numerous artists. He made his comeback by harnessing social media and platforms like YouTube to showcase his talents, and his dedication led to a resurgence in his career with a global fanbase. His recent releases such as "Why," "Candy," and "Sunday Night Drive" demonstrate his continual evolution as an artist, as well as his ability to embrace different genres and trends, while "GANADARA" marks his successful collaboration with well-known figures in the Korean music industry. Jay Park's influence extends beyond music, as he is also celebrated for his dance performances, entrepreneurial ventures, and philanthropic efforts.
