Sextrash

Sextrash was a Brazilian band that played a visceral, aggressive style of thrash metal with black metal influences, formed in 1986 in Belo Horizonte, the cradle of some of Brazil's most famous metal acts. The band's sound was known for its raw, unrefined edge, marked by ferocious speeds, savage vocals, and dark, controversial themes that often delved into subjects like violence, occultism, and anti-religious sentiments.

The centerpiece of their discography is the full-length album "Sexual Carnage," released in 1990. This release became notorious in the metal underground for its extreme content and abrasive sound, setting the tone for their future endeavors. Following the release of "Sexual Carnage," the band continued to build on their hard-edged reputation, producing a body of work noted for intensity and a refusal to soften their sound for mainstream acceptance. Although they went through periods of inactivity, Sextrash demonstrated their enduring impact on the extreme metal scene with subsequent releases, such as "Funeral Serenade" and "Rape from Hell," cementing their legacy in the Brazilian and global metal underground.
