Bülent Ersoy is a Turkish singer, songwriter, and actress known for her powerful vocals and flamboyant stage presence. Born in Istanbul in 1952, Ersoy began her career as a child singer and rose to fame in the 1970s with her unique blend of traditional Turkish music and Western pop influences. She has released numerous albums and singles throughout her career, earning her the title of "Diva of Turkish Music." Ersoy is also known for her outspoken personality and advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights.
