Loso

Loso is a popular Thai rock band formed in 1994 in Bangkok, fronted by singer-guitarist-composer Seksan Sukpimai, better known as Sek Loso. The band's name is a clever play on the Thai slang "hi-so," meaning socialites or upper class, reflecting their humble beginnings. Loso quickly became a major force in the Thai rock scene with a unique sound blending guitar-driven indie rock and traditional Thai melodies. They gained massive success in Thailand with their 1996 debut album *Lo-Society* and even greater acclaim with their second album *Entertainment*, which sold over two million copies. The band is also notable for being one of the first Thai groups to gain recognition internationally, performing at festivals like South By Southwest and Glastonbury.

After disbanding in 2003, Sek Loso pursued a solo career but reunited with the band in 2021. Loso remains a beloved name in Thai rock, known for their energetic performances and Sek's gritty vocal style and guitar work. Their story is one of rising from modest roots to become a defining act in Thailand's music history.
