After his time with Trompies, Mahoota began a solo project under the name DJ Vetkuk vs Mahoota, focusing on electronic and dance music. He is celebrated for his unique fusion of contemporary electronic beats with traditional African sounds, creating energetic and infectious rhythms that have captivated audiences worldwide. Mahoota's recent releases showcase his versatility and continued influence in the South African music scene.
