Tyagaraja, also known as Tyāgarāju, was a renowned Carnatic music composer and singer who lived in the 18th and 19th centuries. Born in Tiruvarur, Tamil Nadu, India, he is considered one of the greatest composers of Carnatic music, known for his devotional songs and kritis (compositions) that explore themes of love, devotion, and spirituality. Tyagaraja's compositions are characterized by their melodic beauty, intricate rhythmic patterns, and profound lyrical content, and they continue to be widely performed and cherished by Carnatic musicians and enthusiasts today.
