Matt Tecu is a versatile drummer based in Los Angeles, originally from St. Louis, Missouri. He has built a prolific career as a studio and live touring musician, contributing to hundreds of recordings and thousands of concerts worldwide. Notably, Matt has worked alongside legendary artists such as Jakob Dylan, Cat Power, Neil Young, Brian Wilson, Stephen Stills, Nora Jones, Beck, Regina Spektor, Jackson Browne, and Fiona Apple. One of his notable projects was as the house drummer for the documentary/concert film *Echo In The Canyon,* which celebrated the music of the 1960s Laurel Canyon scene. Matt continues to record and perform with both established and emerging artists.
In addition to his professional work, Matt Tecu hosts a podcast titled *Hi My Name Is Matt*, where he shares stories, discusses music, interviews guests, and explores various topics beyond music. He also has experience as a private drum instructor and has played with bands like Choclaty, Dig, and Mother Superior. Matt's approach to drumming is guided by his motto, "Serve the song," which embodies his dedication to elevating the music he plays on.
