Tim Lowe is a British composer and conductor who has made a name for himself in the classical music world. His compositions are known for their lyrical melodies, rich harmonies, and evocative orchestrations. Lowe has written a wide range of works, including symphonies, concertos, chamber music, and operas. He has also conducted many of the world's leading orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, and the Berlin Philharmonic.
Lowe was born in London in 1964. He studied music at the Royal Academy of Music and the University of Cambridge. After graduating, he worked as a freelance composer and conductor. In 1995, he was appointed Composer-in-Residence of the BBC Symphony Orchestra. He held this position for five years, during which time he wrote a number of major works, including his Symphony No. 1 and his Violin Concerto.
