Roberto Cecchetto

Roberto Cecchetto is an Italian jazz guitarist known for his eclectic style and strong musical personality. Born in Milan on April 11, 1965, he began his musical journey in the 1990s, notably as part of Enrico Rava's Electric Five, with whom he toured extensively from 1993 to 2001. Cecchetto has collaborated with numerous renowned musicians, including Palle Danielsson, Richard Galliano, Paolo Fresu, and Lionel Loueke. His discography includes albums like "Downtown," "Memories," "Mantra," and "Humanity," showcasing his versatility and innovation in the jazz scene. He has received critical acclaim, including the Top Jazz award from Musica Jazz in 2007 and 2010.

As a respected educator, Cecchetto teaches jazz guitar at the Conservatorio G. Verdi in Milan and at Siena Jazz courses. His recent work, such as "Humanity" with Lionel Loueke, continues to highlight his contribution to contemporary jazz. Cecchetto's music often blends different styles, reflecting his openness to various musical influences. His live performances, like "Live at Cape Town," demonstrate his ability to engage audiences worldwide with his unique sound.
