A multi-instrumentalist, he is also adept on the mandolin, saxophone, clarinet, and pedal steel guitar. Perhaps best known for his guitar playing, Jorgenson has been a pioneer in popularizing the gypsy jazz genre, adopted from the legendary Django Reinhardt, whom Jorgenson has cited as a significant influence on his style.
