Supriyo Dutta

Supriyo Dutta is a renowned vocalist in Hindustani Classical Music, celebrated for his soul-stirring performances and mastery over diverse genres such as Khayal, Thumri/Dadra, and Bhajan. He has been trained under legendary figures like Pandit Ramkrishna Basu of the Indore gharana, Padmashri Pandit Vijay Kichlu, and Vidushi Subhra Guha, and is currently guided by Padmabhusan Pandit Arvind Parikh. Dutta's musical journey includes extensive tours across India, Europe, Australia, China, and the United States, with notable performances at the Woodford Folk Festival in Australia, Filarmonica Romana in Italy, and the India International Centre in New Delhi.

Dutta is not only an accomplished performer but also a dedicated educator and ambassador of Indian classical music. He regularly conducts masterclasses and workshops, both in India and internationally, focusing on vocal training and the intersection of Indian and Western musical traditions. His discography includes acclaimed albums like *“Raga Reminiscence”* and *“Passionate Voice”*, reflecting his innovative approach while maintaining traditional roots. Dutta has received numerous awards for his contributions to music, including recognition as a National Scholar under the Ministry of Culture, India, and he is an empanelled artist of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).
