Peter Dvorsky

Peter Dvorsky is a celebrated Slovak tenor known for his powerful and expressive voice, particularly suited to the dramatic roles of Italian and Slavic opera. He enjoyed a prominent international career, gracing the stages of major opera houses like the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Vienna State Opera, and La Scala in Milan. His repertoire spanned a wide range of composers, but he was especially recognized for his interpretations of works by Verdi, Puccini, and naturally, his fellow Slovak composer Dvořák. He's also known for his performances of bel canto repertoire, showcasing his technical brilliance and vocal agility.

Beyond the opera stage, Dvorsky has also embraced a diverse range of musical styles, from sacred music and oratorios to traditional Slovak folk songs, as evidenced by some of his recordings.
