Chris Norman

Chris Norman is a British singer-songwriter best known for his work with the band Smokie. Born in Redcar, England, in 1950, Norman began his musical career in the late 1960s, forming the band Kindness with Terry Uttley. After several lineup changes, the band evolved into Smokie, and Norman became the lead vocalist. Smokie achieved international success in the 1970s with hits like "Living Next Door to Alice" and "If You Think You Know How to Love Me." After leaving Smokie in 1986, Norman embarked on a solo career, releasing several albums and singles. He has also collaborated with other artists, including Suzi Quatro and Peter Green. Norman continues to perform and record, and his music remains popular with fans around the world.
