Hexrot

Hexrot is an avant-garde death/black/thrash metal duo from Massachusetts, United States, formed in 2022. The band consists of Arkain (vocals, guitars, bass) and Melmoth (vocals, drums, electronics), blending dense metal styles with inventive electronic experimentation. Their music features a continuous, flowing structure with complex transitions, enriched by modular synthesizers and digital effects that range from industrial clangs to warm, ethereal sounds.

They debuted with the EP *Gloomwrought* in 2022 and followed up with their first full-length album *Formless Ruin of Oblivion* in 2025, a 35-minute piece flowing across seven tracks. This album showcases a masterful balance between harmony and dissonance, with powerful live-feeling recording and layered nuances that reveal themselves with repeated listens. Hexrot’s sound has drawn comparisons to bands like Deathspell Omega and Ulcerate, marked by its artistic transitions and rich, textured production.
