Raul Platz

Raul Platz is a Colombian musician, composer, and producer known for his diverse musical background. He graduated from the Universidad de los Andes in 2002 under the tutelage of Maestro Pablo Arévalo and later pursued a Master's in Music Creation and Interpretation at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid. Additionally, he specialized in modern music and jazz at the Conservatori del Liceu in Barcelona from 2004 to 2007, thanks to a scholarship from the Fundación Carolina. Platz's musical journey began with classical music and evolved through various genres, including rock and jazz. He has been involved in numerous projects, including work with the Oscar Acevedo Quartet, where he plays bass. His first album, "Si no hay 1 No hay 2," was well-received by critics and featured two singles that reached the top of Colombia's national radio charts.

Raul Platz continues to be active in the music scene, both as a performer and a producer. He has participated in international events, such as the Delhi International Jazz Festival, and has expressed a deep appreciation for the cultural exchange opportunities these events provide. Platz's work often blends traditional Colombian music with jazz elements, reflecting his interest in exploring the complexities and beauty of music. Currently, he is preparing new projects and albums, further solidifying his presence in the vibrant Colombian jazz scene.
