Ungklang

UngKlang is a unique Danish vocal ensemble made up of nine classically trained young women who share a common background in the DR Girls Choir. Since forming in 2020, they have distinguished themselves by pushing the boundaries of traditional vocal ensemble music, blending classical technique with experimentation to engage a younger audience. Their collaborations include work with established Danish artists like Kind Mod Kind and Coco O., as well as performances in experimental dance theater and notable events such as singing a new Danish national anthem live on P3. UngKlang’s strong friendship and shared musical joy are central to their identity, and they have gained viral success, notably after an impromptu performance for Barack Obama in the summer of 2022, all while maintaining high musical standards.

The group’s recent releases include the EP "LYS" and albums like "en jule-ep" and "Svimlende Skønhed," showcasing their versatility and fresh take on choral music. UngKlang has also performed at prestigious venues and events, including appearances on Danish national TV and for the Danish royal family and international politicians. Their innovative approach and conversational style have brought choral music closer to contemporary audiences, making them an exciting force in the Danish and broader Scandinavian music scenes.
