Dead Mall

Dead Mall is a five-piece punk and hardcore band from Newcastle, Australia, known for blending post-hardcore energy with pop-punk melodies and experimental sounds. Formed by friends and seasoned musicians from the tightly-knit Newcastle music scene, they started with pop-punk tunes but transitioned into a heavier, more adventurous sound incorporating elements like nu metal, dance-punk, and electronika. Their music defies easy categorization, drawing inspiration from bands like Every Time I Die and Turnstile, resulting in a unique style packed with intensity and creativity.

Since their initial ideas around 2019, Dead Mall has been building momentum, especially over the past few years, releasing impactful singles and EPs including *SUPERLIMINAL*, *EVICTION NIGHT*, and *100% PURE POISON*. The band is noted for their layered production and dynamic live performances, having shared stages with prominent acts like Trophy Eyes and Whatever, Forever. Guitarist Darcy Long plays a key role in their creative process, producing and mixing tracks that push the band’s sound to new limits. Their debut full-length album *SUPERLIMINAL* dropped in August 2025, showcasing their energetic and genre-bending approach to punk and hardcore music.
