Gang Green

Gang Green is a hardcore punk band from Boston, Massachusetts, known for their raw energy, irreverent attitude, and a sound that blends aggressive punk with thrashy, beer-fueled rock 'n' roll. Formed in the early 1980s by Chris Doherty, Gang Green became a key player in the Boston hardcore scene, initially gaining attention with their fast, loud songs and wild live shows. Alongside peers like SSD and Jerry's Kids, they helped define the early American hardcore movement.

Their 1986 album Another Wasted Night, featuring tracks like "Alcohol," became a cult favorite, showcasing their unique mix of punk rock and party anthems. Over the years, Gang Green went through numerous lineup changes, with Doherty remaining the constant driving force behind the band. They continued to release music and tour intermittently, carving out a legacy as one of the East Coast's most enduring and hard-partying punk bands.
