Tomasz Kamieniak is a Polish pianist and composer based in Berlin. He is known for his performances of works by Franz Liszt and Charles Valentin Alkan, as well as lesser-known composers. Kamieniak graduated from the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice and furthered his studies under notable professors in Weimar and London. He has been recognized with several awards, including a special prize at the 4th International Franz Liszt Piano Competition in Weimar and the Grand Prix at the "Forgotten Polish Music" competition. His discography includes albums featuring works by Józef Wieniawski, Valentin Silvestrov, and his own compositions. Kamieniak's repertoire as a composer spans piano, harpsichord, chamber, vocal, and film music, with notable transcriptions of works by Kilar, Górecki, and others.
Kamieniak's recent releases reflect his diverse musical interests, including albums dedicated to the piano music of Niemann and Silvestrov, as well as his own compositions such as *Buch der Geheimnisse* and *Am Rande des Tages*. His performances have taken him to various international stages, including festivals in Levoca, Sofia, and Bayreuth. Kamieniak's contributions to music also include gifts to the Polish Music Center, expanding their score and sound libraries with his original works.
