**Sniper Storm**, born Donald Chirisa on July 7, 1979, in Waterfalls, Harare, is a pioneering figure in Zimbabwe’s Zimdancehall scene. Raised by his grandmother after his parents’ divorce, he began his music career in 1999, battling artists like Major E and Daddy D at Live Wire Nightclub before rising to fame with hits like *Gede*, *Kwarira Mukati*, and *Luv Yemsoja*. Over his 25-year career, he’s released albums like *Ndakabata Mic* (2005) and *Silver Bullet* (2014), blending raw lyrical energy with club-ready rhythms. While recent tracks like *NHINHI* and *Karikuda bag* reflect his enduring relevance, Sniper, also nicknamed “The General,” continues to shape Zimbabwe’s soundscape, balancing musical innovation with a legacy of mentorship in the industry.
