He has been involved with several influential bands, including Miminokoto, 20 Guilders, and Overhang Party. Junzo's music often blends elements of psychedelia, blues, drone, noise, and rock, creating a unique sonic landscape. His solo work, such as albums like *Shark-Infested Custard* and *Sings II*, showcases his versatility from Jandek-style weird folk to crystalline guitar passages, sometimes featuring guest artists like Kawabata Makoto from Acid Mothers Temple.

In addition to his solo career, Junzo has collaborated with other artists. Notably, he worked with Tetuzi Akiyama on the album *Evaporation of Holy Water*, which features intense psychedelic guitar work.
