Ten Tonnes

Ten Tonnes, whose real name is Ethan James Barnett, is an emerging British singer-songwriter hailing from Hertford. Born on April 30, 1996, he is the younger brother of fellow musician George Ezra. Ten Tonnes' music resonates with the sounds of indie pop and rock, known for catchy melodies intertwined with distinctive guitar riffs and relatable lyrics. He began his music career independently, releasing a series of EPs which garnered attention for their earnest songwriting and melodic appeal.

By the time Ten Tonnes released his self-titled debut album in 2019, he had already established himself as a promising voice in the indie music scene. The album showcased his range, from the energetic “G.I.V.E.” to the evocative “Cracks Between,” and solidified his talent for creating music that's both accessible and deeply personal. Since then, Ten Tonnes has continued to release music that maintains his characteristic sound while also demonstrating growth as an artist. Tracks like "Dancing, Alone" and "Lone Star" from his singles and EPs such as "So Long EP" exhibit his knack for storytelling and his ability to connect with listeners through themes of love, introspection, and the highs and lows of youth. Ten Tonnes continues to evolve, acquiring a loyal fan base drawn to the honest nature of his songs and the vibrant energy of his recordings.
