Hawk Nelson

Hawk Nelson is a Canadian Christian rock band that formed in Peterborough, Ontario, in the early 2000s. The group started out with a pop punk sound that resonated with a younger audience and gained a strong following through their energetic live shows and relatable lyrics. Over the years, their music evolved to reflect a more polished pop rock and contemporary Christian style. Hawk Nelson is comprised of founding member and guitarist Jonathan Steingard, who later transitioned to lead vocals, bassist Daniel Biro, and drummer Justin Benner.

Throughout their career, Hawk Nelson has produced a number of albums that have seen both commercial success and critical acclaim within the Christian music scene. They made a significant impact with albums like "Letters to the President," "Smile, It's the End of the World," and "Live Life Loud." The band demonstrated a notable shift in their musical approach with the release of "Diamonds" in 2015, where they embraced more overt Christian themes and messages of faith. Singles from their more recent albums, such as "Miracles" and "Parachute," emphasize hope, redemption, and the power of belief, which have been well-received by fans and have contributed to their staying power as a mainstay in the contemporary Christian music genre.
