Bloodthorn

Bloodthorn is a Norwegian black metal band hailing from Trondheim, formed in 1992. Initially, the band was a solo project by Tom, focusing on grim and atmospheric black metal. Over time, it evolved into a full band with the addition of members like Krell, who brought in his vocals. Their early work included the demo "Natteskyggen" in 1996 and their debut album "In the Shadow of Your Black Wings" in 1997. The band's sound has evolved through albums like "Onwards Into Battle" (1999), "Under the Reign of Terror" (2001), and "Genocide" (2006), showcasing a shift towards more raw and extreme metal styles.

Bloodthorn has been associated with labels such as Season of Mist and Morningstar Records. They have performed at notable festivals like Inferno and Wacken Open Air, and have toured with bands like Carpathian Forest and Vader. Their music often explores dark and intense themes, reflecting their roots in the black metal genre. Despite their active history, Bloodthorn is no longer listed as active on Season of Mist.
