LudoWic, the artistic alias of Thijs Lodewijk, is a Dutch musician and artist who operates at the intersection of music and visual arts. Born in Venlo and raised in Dongen, LudoWic has been active since 2014, releasing several albums including 'A Blinding Light Moment', 'Elka Village', 'LudoWic Jams', and most recently, 'LINESCAPES' in 2023. He is known for his use of analog equipment and synthesizers, blending sleek and angular elements with organic and chaotic sounds. LudoWic has also explored spatial audio with Dolby Atmos, as highlighted in his documentary 'LINESCAPES', which premiered during ADE 2023. Additionally, he is one of the few artists who play the Trautonium, one of the first synthesizers invented in 1929.
LudoWic's recent releases include 'THOUGHTFUL', 'SUPER8 MEMORY', 'GUILTY LANDSCAPES', 'LINESCAPES Live', 'LINESCAPES', 'IMMON', 'CIYIC', '41MR', and 'A9'. His work often explores the tension between chaos and order, as seen in his visual installations and sound works. With a background in music and art, LudoWic attended the Codarts University for the Arts in Rotterdam, further solidifying his unique blend of artistic disciplines.
