Crazy Town is an American rap rock band, most famously known for their 2000 hit single "Butterfly," which reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. The band was formed in 1995 by Bret Mazur and Seth Binzer in Los Angeles, California. Mazur and Binzer, who go by the pseudonyms Epic and Shifty Shellshock respectively, created a sound that combined elements of hip-hop, rock, and electronica. Their debut album, "The Gift of Game," released in 1999, fused these influences and ultimately went on to sell over 1.5 million units, largely propelled by the success of "Butterfly."
