Pete & Bas

Pete & Bas are a British hip hop duo from London, formed in 2017. The duo consists of Peter (Pete) Bowditch and Basil (Bas) Bellgrave, both in their 70s. Pete discovered his love for hip hop after his granddaughter introduced him to rap music, which he shared with Bas. They decided to create their own music, starting with their debut single "Shut Ya Mouth," which became an instant success and went viral. Since then, they have gained popularity in the UK rap scene, known for songs like "The Old Estate" and "Dents in a Peugeot." Their music often reflects their South London roots and has been featured on platforms like GRM Daily.

Bas has a diverse background, having worked as a helicopter engineer, carpet salesman, and even running his own law firm. He also spent time playing piano on cruise ships and released an album of piano music. Pete previously worked for the Royal Mail and Westminster Council. Together, they have become notable figures in the UK grime and drill scene, performing in major European cities and amassing a significant following on social media.
