Michel Moragues is a renowned French flautist celebrated for his rich and varied career spanning multiple roles as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player. He has been a second flute soloist with the Orchestre National de France since 1989 and is a professor of flute at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris, as well as a professor of chamber music at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris. Moragues co-founded the prestigious wind quintet, Quintette Moragues, alongside his brothers Pierre and Pascal, David Walter, and Patrick Vilaire, performing worldwide to great acclaim.
As a chamber musician, Michel Moragues has collaborated with notable artists such as Barbara Hendricks and Sandrine Piau, and has worked under the direction of esteemed conductors including Leonard Bernstein and Seiji Ozawa.
