Toad the Wet Sprocket is an American alternative rock band formed in Santa Barbara, California, in 1989. The band's original lineup consisted of Glen Phillips (vocals, guitar), Todd Nichols (guitar, vocals), Dean Dinning (bass), and Randy Guss (drums). They rose to fame in the early 1990s with their hit singles "Walk on the Ocean" and "All I Want," which showcased Phillips' distinctive vocals and the band's melodic, introspective songwriting. Over the years, Toad the Wet Sprocket has released several successful albums and toured extensively, becoming known for their passionate live performances and enduring fan base.
